He says that because of Ishita they have lost Ruhi again. His father slaps him for misbehaving with Ishita but Raman says that this time he will not forgive Ishita. Ishita tries to explain but Raman does not listen. He says because of Ishita Ruhi is in jail and he cannot do anything.
Raman gets angry with Ishita for taking her to Sohail even after he had told her that Ruhi should not get to know about Sohail. The police take Ruhi away as Raman runs behind the police van. The entire Bhalla family is shocked to hear the news.
Ishita pleads and she breaks down in court on hearing the verdict. In the court the judge sends Ruhi to juvenile remand home for a year as she is a minor and then ask her to be shifter to jail. Raman looses his temper and beats Sohail in court. Ishita says that Ruhi is telling lies because Sohail has brainwashed her but Sohail says even he does not want Ruhi to get punished. Ishita and Raman are shattered to hear Ruhi take the blame on herself while Sohail has a smirk on his face seeing how things are turning in his favor. Ruhi tells the judge that it was she who shot the blackmailer and pleaded to leave Sohail as he is innocent. Ruhi says that they did not know Pihu was there and it is possible that Pihu might have seen Sohail after he took the gun from her. Just then Sohail came there and took the gun from her hand. She tried to snatch the gun from him and in the tussle she shot the blackmailer by mistake. Ruhi says that the blackmailer pointed a gun at her and she got scared. She says she had gone to meet the blackmailer with Sohail and Raman and Ishita knew nothing about it. In the 25 January episode of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein we see that Ruhi gives her statement in favor of Sohail.
